Our 2010 print collection continues with one of the UK's freshest!
Whilst looking through Simon Page's work you're confident the future is here and now, just like they promised it would be back in 1982. Super slick lines, geometry for pleasure, complexity made to look easy - It doesn't get much better than this.
Page is a self taught graphic designer who's spent most of his working life crunching numbers. Considering his nack for mathematics and programming it's no surprise that his work features such elegant, rhythmic patterns, but It should surprise you to learn that he's only been taking his design work seriously for just over a year. Within that year he has been commissioned to carry out work for Computer Arts, been cited as a rising star of the future by Digital Artist and sold Space to the astronomers who fell in love with his 'International Year of Astronomy' images.
"Some of the best designers work with math, in a number of aspects, even though they probably do it completely subconsciously."
A relentless self tasking creator, Page sets himself brief's and meticulously develops concepts and themes into stunning collections. Check out his superb Futurism and Cuben sets for a taste of what the mans got to offer! With notable mentions from Creative Review, Wired and The New York Times you can bet you'll be seeing a lot more of Simon Page's work in 2010. Those of you in London should keep your eyes peeled for a forthcoming exhibition of Page's work at the London Design Museum. Stay in the loop!
